Lance Lichorat is a Portfolio Manager whose focus is a disciplined, research-driven investment approach and unwavering commitment to putting clients first. Lance believes that true outperformance—or alpha— is best achieved through thoughtful portfolio construction based on rigorous independent research and an intimate understanding of client objectives.
Lance began his career in financial services in 2011 with MetLife and continued with MassMutual following the 2016 transition. He previously served as a Wealth Advisor at a New York City investment bank, where he advised high-net-worth individuals and families on portfolio management, risk mitigation and comprehensive wealth planning.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Hartwick College, where he had a concentration in Economics and Finance, and was a student athlete on the football team. Lance also studied international business at Ocean University of China, gaining a global perspective that continues to influence his investment philosophy and client advisory work.
Lance resides in Ponte Vedra Beach with his wife, Claire, and their three children, Teddy, Lucy and Grace. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, hiking, golf and spending time outdoors with family and friends. He is also actively involved in the community, volunteering as a youth football and golf coach.
